All candidates who wish to be considered for a paid internship (3 to 6 months) in the European Offices of the World Bank Group must meet the following criteria:

* Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a discipline relevant to the World Bank’s work. Candidates with a Master’s degree and/or some relevant work experience are generally preferred.

* Depending on the internship position, must have a strong interest/background in economics, finance, human resources (Rome Office only), international business, international relations, journalism and/or any other field related to the World Bank’s external affairs work.

* Have a strong interest in development issues.

* Have excellent written and verbal English language skills.

* Depending on the internship position, must be fluent in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Nordic languages or any other major European language.

* Be computer proficient and familiar with Lotus Notes, the MS Office Suite and the Internet.

* Be willing and able to work as part of a team.

* Be available for a period of 3 to 6 months (-
